Going Wild

Small changes, one day at a time is how we effectively implement any change. Regular readers of this blog won't be strangers to me harping on about this.

Sustainability is no different. We had a small weed patch down the side of our practice, whilst we could technically label it our "wild garden", it wasn't the most welcoming site and looked particularly unkempt as the weather started warming up. One of our neighbours has been embracing no now May for five years now, an impressive commitment no matter how unintended. We decided whilst letting nature take its course is all the. rage at the moment, it wasn't quite the look we were going for on our little patch on the high street.

Once the weeds were cleared we nipped out one lunch time, spread a bit of compost around and scattered a few packets of wild meadow flower seeds, it took all of twenty minutes.

I hope the end result will be a spectacle of colourful flowers in all shapes encouraging a little CO2 removal from the atmosphere and encouraging a little bit of biodiversity in our little microclimate.
