Infinite potential

Updated: Jun 15

It is exceptionally rare to meet someone who is the best in the world at something and even rarer to be that person.

To be the best at something, you have to commit to a single finite game wherein there is a fixed end point, defined rules and ultimately a winner.

In the real world for us mortals, it may seem that there is an insurmountable uphill struggle to achieve anything of note, but what we must realise is that we are not trapped in a finite game which will finish at a specified time and we will all be ranked according to our score in life. Life is an infinite game, sure, all life will by definition ultimately cease, but you’re not going to be around to celebrate your victory when it’s happened.

In an infinite game, you are playing by different rules, and what’s more, you get to make the rules of your own game.

Within your life, you have infinite potential, there is no limit to being the best you can be.

Surround yourself with people who you want to be with on your journey. People who share your passion and enthusiasm for life and learning.

Look for mentors who share your ethos and mentor people who want your help. I have never learned a subject as thoroughly as when I have to teach it.

There is no end point to this game.

There is no best, no winner.

There is no limit on your potential.
